QB Analysis: Blake Bortles 2016 off-season analysis

"The 100 Yards" Fantasy Football Analysis Report

Blake Bortles (USATSI)
Blake Bortles is currently battling a thumb injury, and has been working regularly with quarterback consultant Tom House over the course of this offseason.

Bortles has had a good first few years in the NFL with the Jacksonville Jaguars. He had almost double the amount of pass yards in his second season (4,428) than in his first season (2,908).

He only had 11 pass touchdowns in his first season, but had 35 in his second season, more than triple the amount than in his rookie year.

Bortles is proving himself to be an QB fantasy-wise. He would definitely be a wise choice to have as a backup quarterback on your team.

Brown and Beckham are top WR picks for 2016

"The 100 Yards" Fantasy Football Report

Odell Beckham Jr.
When you look at Pittsburgh Steelers WR Antonio Brown, and New York Giants WR Odell Beckham Jr., what do you see?

Well, we see two young wide receivers that can help you rack up fantasy points in your leagues.

Brown had ten receiving touchdowns, 136 receptions, 1,834 yards gained, and only one fumble in the 2015 season.

Antonio Brown
Beckham, who is known as an extremely athletic playmaker, posted 12 receiving touchdowns, 91 receptions (not as many as Brown), 1,305 yards gained, and only one fumble in the 2015 season, almost similar stats to Brown.

As said above, Beckham is more of a play maker, but he doesn't rack up as many points as Brown does. But Beckham can still earn you many points along with his fantastic plays.

Newton and Gronkowski on same team would be deadly to opponents

"The 100 Yards" Fantasy Football Report
Cam Newton
When you look at Cam Newton, you see an amazing young quarterback with plenty of potential who just came very close to winning a Super Bowl. He has great skill and is always a great addition to a fantasy team.

When you look at Rob Gronkowski, you see one of the best tight ends in theNFL today, a man with excellent receiving who is basically a fantasy football dream player.

Although it is unlikely to have both of these players on your fantasy team for 2016, it still could be imagined how deadly a team would be with these two current greats on it.

The reason it would be unlikely for these two to be on the same team is that they both will
Rob Gronkowski
definitely be picked very high up in fantasy drafts, and would most likely be picked by two different people. But we can only envision how amazing of an offense these two players would make.

Tom Brady and Rob Gronkowski are most likely one of then eat duos in the NFL today. In the 2015 regular season, Gronkowski had an amazing 11 touchdowns for 1,176 receiving yards and 72 receptions. In the Patriots' two playoff games, Gronk had three TDs, 227 receiving yards and 15 receptions.

But Newton has amazing stats of his own. In the 2015 regular season, Newton has 35 passing TDs, 3,837 passing yards, ten rushing TDs, and 636 rushing yards. In the playoffs, Newton has three passing TDs, 761 passing yards, two rushing TDs, and 95 rushing yards.

Having these two players on one fantasy team would be lethal for opponents, however it is very unlikely to happen.

Is Andrew Luck deserving of his high rating in early QB fantasy rankings?

"The 100 Yards" Fantasy Football Report

Andrew Luck was a fantastic QB before his injury, posting 15 passing touchdowns and 162 pass completions in 293 attempts in seven games played in the 2015 NFL season.

But many sites like ESPN have Luck rated very high in QB rankings for the 2016 NFL season, mainly fantasy rankings.

With the stats listed above, it's very easy to say that Andrew Luck is deserving of his high rating.
But the only problem is that he plated seven games before his injury. Other QBs like Cam Newton, Brock Osweiler, Tom Brady, and Peyton Manning (assuming he doesn't retire before the 2016 season) were around for the entire season, and also posted some amazing stats that would have definitely challenged Luck to stay high in the rankings.

With that said, we recommend that you pick Andrew Luck for your season-long fantasy team only if you are confident that he will have a good season.
